You said it...

Douglas Homes asked our Facebook friends the feature they thought most important in a home.  The responses we received were:

1.  Big laundry room

2.  Nice, walkout lot

3.  Huge kitchen with adjoining room

4.  Open concept

5.  Kitchen with all the upgrades

6.  Kitchen opening to family room that is not facing sun so there isn't a glare on the TV

7.  Big, open kitchen and family room

8.  Big master

9.  All the amenities

10.  No shared driveways

11.  First floor master

All of our floorplans at Douglas Homes already accommodate these wishes.

*Our Somerset II and Greenbriar II floorplans have a first floor master available
*We are working on unrolling several new floorplans with a first floor master standard
*All of our laundry rooms are spacious, and can be moved to a different location in the home if one wishes.  In the Westchester II we moved the laundry room upstairs for one family, for example.
*All of our communities have beautiful lots.  Many of our lots are walk out.  In Clarks Meadow, we are backed by preservation land and our 1+ acre lots are gorgeous.  In our Frederick and Harford communities, the lots are in a country setting with breathtaking views.
*Most of our kitchens are open and adjoin to an open family room that is two stories high.  We are a custom builder, so we can move any wall on any floorplan to meet your needs as our customer.
*Our kitchen has many, many standard features.  We use Jenn-Air appliances and our kitchen is filled with granite and hardwoods.  Our standard kitchen features most other’s upgrades.
*Our masters are all spacious and fit to live comfortably in.  Some floorplans feature sitting rooms in the master and his and her closets.
*Our driveways are not shared and there are no flag poles.

  1. As a Douglas homeowner, I would like to see Douglas homes finish the community driveway in Harford County on Grier Nursery rd. It has been 3 years since my move in date. Our last community home was built 2 years ago. As a builder who claims excellence, I would like to them to live up to that standard.
